We must eat these people.
Tucker also has appeal among folks who probably don't identify as Republicans. He's a "populist"; charismatic and good at pretending that he's railing against the Elites in general, Democrats and Republicans alike. And so every few cycles, journalists seem to forget about his nightly klan rallies and feel compelled to put out pieces that tell us we 'gotta hand it to Tucker this time!', like when he called on Richard Burr to resign.
I look at a "populist" wearing a bowtie with the same suspicion I'd have for a "vegan" that owns a rib shack.

I remember reading a New Yorker article on him
And I have no idea how anyone can think that Tucker is not part of the elite.
Again, the bowties tell you all you need to know.
And yet Carlson has lost a huge number of advertisers and plays more (unpaid) FOX ads than ever before.

The numbers don't indicate that he has a healthy, wealthy fanbase.
I'd love to see some incredibly wealthy liberals-Oprah, Bill Gates, Ron Burkle, George Soros, pool their money and capitol buy Fox News and fire everyone of these assholes (Chris Wallace can stay) then turn it into MSNBC 2.0. I mean Disney bought Fox TV not to long ago, so its not out of the realm of possibility.
Rupert isn't giving up his megaphone until he dies.
I think Rupert went 'Weekend at Bernies' almost 2 decades ago...
From the heart up, yes. But that zombie wallet still opens just fine, unfortunately.
Still surprising to me, 4 years into this fucking nightmare, that a major news network sets aside a 4 hour block of time each night specifically for riling up boomers who have never used a computer before.

Definitely not a shock:

"If this story is quote-unquote 'true', why do four of this goober's bootlickers say it isn't?!?!?"
Who the fuck is "Hogan Gidley?" A bit player from A Confederacy of Dunces?
Hats off to Pete Buttigieg for going on Fox and concisely making his points, while Fox desperately tried to shit on its own reporting:

They're trying to defend him, but it's weaker sauce than usual:

https://www.mediaite.com/tv/fox-friends-...-the-time/

Quote:“The president gets it in the form of his presidential daily briefing every day. And what does he do?” Doocy said. “Well, he doesn’t, you know, blurt out ‘Somebody is trying to blow up Akron’ or something like that. Instead, as he said, he didn’t want people to freak out, so he tried to keep people calm.”

Ainsley Earhardt moved the conversation along shortly thereafter by calling it “interesting” that Woodward’s book and other books unflattering to Trump have come out so close to the 2020 election.
"The President didn't want people to panic.

Coming up next: President Trump warns us of devious Antifa hordes heading to Portland to wreak havoc while a caravan of brown people invade our Southern border!"

Perfect post.
The most telling line in Trump's conversations with Woodward might be the passage where he describes the virus, early on, as "insurmountable." It's like he understood the problem immediately, and immediately gave up and went into cover his ass mode because he couldn't just drop bombs on it.
Can't start a trade war with The Invisible Enemy
I'd ask Tucker's last script writer what his thoughts on racism are, but he's not available for comment:

Quote:Tucker Carlson argues that climate change is like "systemic racism in the sky" in that it doesn't exist but liberals want you to believe its there.

I thought Republicans loved believing in things that aren't real: trickle-down economics, QAnon, Jesus...
Fox hosts Sean Hannity and Lou Dobbs will be deposed next month in a lawsuit filed by Seth Rich's parents:

https://www.thedailybeast.com/fox-news-s...ref=author

Quote:Fox News star Sean Hannity was once his network’s most prominent booster of conspiracy theories about murdered Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich, only stopping the rumor-mongering after Rich’s grieving parents publicly begged him to knock it off.

Now, Hannity will have to answer questions, under oath, about Fox’s coverage of Rich’s death. Hannity, along with Fox Business host Lou Dobbs and a host of Fox staffers, is set to be deposed in late October over the network’s debunked reporting on Rich, which falsely claimed that he had leaked thousands of Democratic emails to WikiLeaks—a leak, they suggested, that led to his politically-motivated murder.

The depositions have been scheduled as part of an emotional distress and tortious interference lawsuit that Rich’s parents, Joel and Mary Rich, filed against Fox, Fox News reporter Malia Zimmerman, and wealthy conservative and former Fox News guest Ed Butowsky. The deposition schedule was revealed in a Thursday court filing made by the Rich family.

Both the Richs’ legal team and Fox News didn’t respond to requests for comment.
Good.
Well, of course they fucking are:
