A recent O'Reilly guest who was brought on to talk about immigration in Sweden is not what Fox promoted him to be:

http://www.mediaite.com/online/questions...y-advisor/

Quote:

On Thursday’s night broadcast, a segment on Sweden’s status as a refugee-friendly nation featured Anne-Sofie Naslund, the U.S. correspondent for Expressen, and Nils Bildt, who was described by an on-screen chyron (with verbatim accompanying introduction by O’Reilly himself) as, “Swedish Defense and National Security Advisor.” An on-screen graphic leading into the segment read, “One third of all Swedish women no longer feel secure in their neighborhoods.”

But by Friday night some in the Swedish Twittersphere began to speculate that the segment guest Nils Bildt — who told O’Reilly that Swedish politicians have “absolutely… no systemic plan for integrating mass amounts of immigrants to become productive members of society,” — was not who he said he was. Or, at least, who he agreed to be at the alleged design of the network.

Bildt provided the following statement to Mediaite (emphasis mine):

"Suffice to say I am an independent political advisor. Fox News is solely responsible for the header or title used. I cannot comment on that. Sorry for any confusion caused, but needless to say I think that is not really the issue, the issue is Swedish refusal to discuss their social problems and issues."

And this is what, little over a year since Fox's fake CIA guy was outed? Who the hell vets these people?

People who know they can get away with just about anything.

So, what does it say about the Trump administration and Fox News when "journalism" becomes a trigger word?

Next thing you know, those dastardly newspapers will be "cashing in" by trying to sell actual newspapers.

A"This incident is being sensationalized -- everything was under total control throughout and I never felt like I was put in harm's way," Williams' statement read. "It was clear that Sean put my safety and security above all else and we continue to be great friends."

What's not said is that Williams' statement was compiled while a red dot hovered near his temple.

While its clear Hannity is a raging asshole, I'm shocked even he would go that far.

I'm shocked ... that I'm not shocked by this?

If this is true, any genuinely responsible firearms owner would be appalled. Loaded or unloaded (you know, in case it actually isn't), you never point a firearm at someone else unless you were already intending to shoot them. I've never handled a working firearm in my life and even I know that.

I'm not.

I totally see him as a paranoid, 'macho' gun fetishist and one big part of that mentality is 'showing off' your new 'toys' to friends.

30 sec. google-  interview with Playboy

HANNITY: Absolutely. I own a lot of firearms. I collect firearms. I have been around them my entire life. I’m 51 years old. I started shooting probably at the age of 10 or 11. I was a marksman at 12, and I can’t urge safety enough. I could bring you to my house right now, tell you where my guns are, and you would not get them. You could spend the next month there and you would never be able to gain access to them. I handle the weapons I have properly, and I also have easy access to a weapon to protect myself.

Yup. "Always treat it like it's loaded" is the absolute first most fucking basic rule of gun safety. Anybody who claims to have been a "marksman" at 12 and somehow doesn't understand that is either an idiot or a psychopath.

Hannity does seem the type to brag that he is a marksman not matter what his real shooting abilities are.

Any 'gun owner' that likes to brag that he has a shitload of guns is the last person that should be allowed to own guns.

The last thing I would want anyone to know is whether or not I own a gun, much less a lot of them.

But he, like DJT has to 'show off'....they need to have their ego stroked by others and bragging about "what I have and you don't" is part of their psychopathology.

Fox Business is here for your business needs:

A couple of days ago I saw the promo for Hannity's Spring Break Exposed special. Somebody whose idea of fun is to point a gun with a laser site at a co-worker and voted for the pussy grabber, doesn't have the moral credibility to be appalled at binge drinking and causal sex.  I'm going to take a shot in the dark and the say the target audience for that special are people who just don't want to go the whole nine yards and watch porn.

ANo. Hannity's Spring Break specials are porn appetizers that his male audience can watch with their wives before she retires to bed and they stay up to jack off to abusedstepdaughters.com or whatever.

So Tomi Lahren, aka Vapid Right-Wing Barbie #34,276,812, has been suspended for daring to say she was pro-choice, which of course is the worst of all betrayals - http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-39338408

I am chuckling.

Bill O'Reilly, realizing it's been too long since he said something cartoonishly racist, claims that he won't listen to Maxine Waters because of her "James Brown wig".

There are few people in this world I would love to see drop dead and O'Reilly is one of them.

AThe slavery defending, crusty, White asshole is back.

No. Dropping dead is how that racist, sexist pundit skin bag full of bile will die naturally.

For these cases, I prefer South Park's "Raped to death by boars" approach.

Just a vile, pathetic and evil man.

I don't wish death on O'Reilly. I do wish that being a not very bright, lying, sexual harassing asshole costs him his career, family and money and is reduced to standing in Central Park with a sign that says: WILL CALL YOU A PINHEAD FOR FOOD.

Considering one is now POTUS I think his job is safe.

I wonder when Trump dies if Hannity will be buried alive in his giant golden tomb along with him.

ABill O'Reilly's such a whore for attention, he has to beat his wife in front of his kids.

There used to be a time when you'd be out of a job for something like this, now it's just another day. It's normalized now, so be worried about that - or Iron Fist, because that's like super important.

Fox has had to settle five sexual harassment claims on Bill O'Reilly's behalf.

Nine advertisers have jumped off the O'Reilly train so far today. Here's to that being just the start.

AThis is what brought Glenn Beck down, right? Advertisers leaving in droves?

What's great is that they were fine with his message until now.

At least for now I can enjoy the schadenfreude of the free market coming to bite O'Reilly in the ass.

I could be wrong but I don;t think Rush ever recovered either.  This has a chance of working.

AI feel like losIng a crackpot asshole like him, from an establishment news source (ugh), may have bad implications, such as former O'Reilly fans flocking in even greater numbers to places like Breitbart and Infowars.

Actually, I guess it wouldn't make a difference.

Edited for phone spelling.
AI think the majority of O'Reilly's demo thinks that the "internet" is a device used in sport fishing.
ADunno Johnny. My inlaws, generally sweet and agreeable elderly folk in the near-South who are not tech savvy in the least, surprised me when we were down for thanksgiving a few years ago with a Roku box on there tv.

"Wait, you guys still have a working vcr. You got a roku box?"

"Only way to watch Glenn Beck now."
