They should make his intro music the "sad trombone."

Bill O’Reilly Is Going on Vacation. Will His Show Return?

Embattled Fox News host Bill O’Reilly announced tonight that he is taking a vacation. O’Reilly’s decision to go off the air in the midst of a sexual harassment scandal and advertiser boycott arguably has the appearance of a suspension, but O’Reilly worked to dispel that notion. He announced that he’d scheduled his trip “last fall” — well before the New York Times reported he paid $13 million to settle harassment claims. A Fox News source told me O’Reilly plans to return to his show on April 24.

But according to four network sources, there’s talk inside Fox News that tonight’s show could be his last. Lawyers for the law firm Paul, Weiss, hired last summer by 21st Century Fox to investigate Roger Ailes, are currently doing a “deep dive” investigation into O’Reilly’s behavior. They’re focused now on sexual harassment claims by O’Reilly guest Wendy Walsh after she reported her claims via the company’s anonymous hotline.

ETA- maybe he can take over for Spicer.   <img src=" src="http://files.chud.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" />

ABillo taking over as Press Sec would be GLORIOUS.

I'm sure this comes as a surprise to no one (and has already been widely published), but the MEDIAN Fox News viewer is 67.  Meaning that half of total viewership are older than 67.

Not to be an ageist, but that old school, traditionalist method of thinking and seeing the world around you tends to stick after a certain age, i.e., your mind is less likely to change. Also worth noting that being a sexual predator was far more socially acceptable to folks of a certain age as well.

With only six days remaining in Bill O’Reilly’s vacation, the pressure on the Murdoch family to decide the embattled commentator’s fate is intensifying. Three sources with knowledge of the discussions said that, while no final decision has been made, the Murdochs are leaning toward announcing that O’Reilly will not return to the air. Sons James and Lachlan have been arguing that O’Reilly needs to go, say these sources, though their father, Rupert, has resisted that outcome.

Well it's been declining among White Males, so there's that.

Wait a minute....

So the older Murdoch is being eclipsed by his two sons, who apparently are a bit more "woke" than Dad.

That forms the backdrop to today's stories that Fox execs are meeting this week to decide whether to throw Bill under the bus:

"Hot Chocolate" indeed.

Seeing Bill get his ass thrown out of FoX News would be amazing. That racist bad touch batshit grandpa nobody invites to Christmas dinner deserves everything he's getting right now.

Bill O’Reilly’s Future at Fox Grows Dim as the Murdochs’ Support Erodes

Quote:

A lawyer for Mr. O’Reilly, Marc E. Kasowitz of Kasowitz Benson Torres, said Tuesday that his client was being targeted by liberal groups trying to bring him down. “Bill O’Reilly has been subjected to a brutal campaign of character assassination that is unprecedented in post-McCarthyist America,” he said in a statement. “This law firm has uncovered evidence that the smear campaign is being orchestrated by far-left organizations bent on destroying O’Reilly for political and financial reasons. That evidence will be put forth shortly, and it is irrefutable.”

These hypocritical MFers....they are never at fault. It's ALWAYS a conspiracy....

AAiles, Yiannapolous, O'Reilly; in these dark days I take my shitbag comeuppance where I can get it.
Plus Nazis getting knocked the fuck out, don't forget that.

Bill O'Reilly Reportedly Out at Fox News

It's citing unnammed sources, so I'm hoping the unnammed source isn't the same one who keeps telling people in my Facebook feed that Trump is being impeached.

AIt's looking more and more likely he's gone. Can't wait for official confirmation
AUSA! USA! USA!

Welcome to the No Job Zone.

AWhoa. Who would've seen this coming two years ago?

(C'mon, do Hannity next!)

With O'Reilly done at Fox and Alex Jones possibly losing the respect of the tin foil hat wearing crowd, maybe (just maybe), being stupid and angry is starting to go out of style.

AThey're all melting down.

I'm amazed, and pissed, that his Freedom Concert scam didn't end his career and turn him into a pariah.

ADon't worry, Bill, you can always fall back on publishing books that like two dozen people buy and then leave sitting untouched on the shelf waiting to be awkwardly discovered at a family reunion or when someone's girlfriend's parents come over!

Maybe he'll write a book about how he assassinated his career.

AI see O'Reilly's ghostwritten doorstops at the grocery store and wonder who the fuck in liberal L.A. goes shopping for milk, eggs and "Killing Lincoln."

We joke, but his books do sell to "the base" and that's enough to keep him wealthy, and he can still cry himself to sleep in giant piles of money from Fox if he wants.  Now we need some good lawsuits to drain him of those assets for the ruination to be truly complete, but it's probably wishful thinking it'd go that far (he'll settle).  Guess we take the small victory.  And yes...let's hope Hannity's next.

Skeptical on Alex Jones losing his base.  He'll just go on-air after the trail is concluded and be all "I HAD to play up the whole "performance artist" thing because the Jewluminati were gonna take away my kid unless I denied everything!  I'm only one man!  Give me money so I can fight back!"  And the audience will swallow it.  Maybe not all of it, but enough to keep him from having to worry about where his next meal is coming from.

I really wonder how many of the Fox news geriatric viewership will even notice he's gone.

Colbert should be fun tonight.

I can see him writing a "thriller" about how a decent, honest, and moral TV pundit was talking down a small army of lying feminist pinheads.

We celebrate now, but you know in a month he'll be working n the White House.

That's my fear also.  Spicer is on borrowed time, I wouldn't be surprised if O'Reilly works his way into the role of press secretary.

John Oliver should be fun on Sunday.
