What if he's feeling like his time is running out an he's returning to his classic characters just to kill them off, to then finally expire himself sometime afterward?  :frown:

I have a bad feeling about this.

My favorite little touch?  The blood spray when Indy hits the Nazi with the wrench.  Unlike Spielberg, the people who animated this haven't forgotten that these were violent movies.

I think something in CG could work (if done on a Pixar level), but I'd definitely prefer something in this mode.  It just feels much more appropriate for Indy's throwback, pulpy flavor.

Seriously, this is such a perfect idea I'm kind of amazed it hasn't been brought up yet.

I think Disney's lawyers are probably the reason, but I would totally kick in some dollars to get a feature funded.  Not going to happen unless Disney wanted it, and in that case they'd have no reason not to foot the bill themselves.

I would love to know what Spielberg's reaction to this animation is, though.

What?  Han was a cold blooded murderer.  Han shot first.

- user_32 - 09-29-2016

Indiana Jones shot a guy with a sword. They're both assholes.

- cd underbelly - 09-29-2016

Which is why they'd both be in hell. <img src=" src="http://files.chud.com/images/smilies/wink.gif" />

But the guy trying to show off his swordplay to a guy with a gun?

He's the bigger asshole!

Given some of Ford's comments, we'd be more likely to see James Marshall beat the shit out of a stand-in for Donald Trump.

Not that this is a bad thing.

Richard Kimble beat the shit out of a crippled dude, and Deckard shot an unarmed woman in the back. Are we seeing a pattern here?

- cd underbelly - 09-30-2016

ANow I am morbidly curious to see a Harrison Ford's characters battle royale.

- freeman - 09-30-2016

AIndy shoots Kimble in the gut, Han Solo tosses indy into some monsters mouth, and then deckard shoots Han in the back.

- tcjsavannah - 09-30-2016

While Henry stoicly watches it all unfold in front of him.

- arjen rudd - 10-01-2016

AYou mean, just regarding things? It was right there!

- user_32 - 10-01-2016

AIndy also punched a waitress in the face. Sure he was drugged but TMZ would be all over that shit.

- cd underbelly - 10-01-2016

ASo who shoots first, Han or Indy?

- Dent6084 - 10-01-2016

John Book makes it out alive because his Amish friends shame everyone else into taking the fight elsewhere and leaving him alone.

Han of the two has the least moral "code" or at least would shoot faster and dirtier.  Indy simply does what he has to do to survive.

Well, that and his knack for smothering dudes in corn silos.

- freeman - 10-02-2016

In my mind I've sort of erased the memory of Mutt Williams, and I've loosely connected Lara and Nathan Drake as Indy's canonical children.  I'm MUCH much happier in my delusion.

- fraid uh noman - 10-02-2016

AMutt who? What? I don't remember any such character in Raiders or Temple.

LIES!

Next you'll be telling me that we got a movie with an 8 year old Vader and Yoda striking Kung fu poses..

- mr. stockslivevan - 10-02-2016

AI never got the Mutt hate aside from the Shia connection.

Fixed

- freeman - 10-02-2016

I shouldn't say I HATE Mutt(I DO hate his fucking name...) Shia is a very capable young actor.  I feel like he got the short end of the stick with the greaser haircut monkeys, and the fencing gag where he gets hit in the balls by fake CG plants, and the fucking moment where they tease the hat...

*Eyes bleed*

The Brando inspired Greaser thing was an interesting idea too.  He's just no Lara Croft or Nathan Drake and I feel like Indy is probably very disappointed is all.

- fraid uh noman - 10-02-2016

AThe monkeys were the last straw.

Point of no return.

That's where I totally checked out..

- mr. stockslivevan - 10-02-2016

AHey, that Indy hat but was nice. Showed that no matter what, nobody measures up to Indy.

Yes!  I agree.  But despite this, EVERYONE in the theater groaned.

- carnotaur3 - 10-02-2016

AYeah the Indy hat worked as an acknowledgement from Spielberg that a passing of the torch was fairly stupid.

- freeman - 10-02-2016

NOT if it was Nathan Drake!

- hammerhead - 10-02-2016

OK, I'm old. What's a Nathan Drake?

[/quote]Video game character.

- raynis - 10-02-2016

ANathan Drake was going to be a big character, in an adventure film from David O. Russell.

But at this juncture, he's just a bundle of CG pixels.

I was wondering this myself.
