I'm totally down with this.  His soundtrack for RUSH feels like it could be transposed directly onto a James Bond film and work beautifully.

I assume Eric Serra wasn't available....

Zimmer works with teams of composers anyway. And the Bond-verse will force them to come up with something lively. And yes, if it's anything like RUSH, hooray for us. That was one of his best scores of the decade,

I mean... some of the RUSH cue sounds like something in between what Thomas Newman did for SPECTRE crossed with Zimmer's team's work on MI2 anyway!  






And MI2 was considered Cruise making his own BOND movie!

It allllll comes around!
