BOND 25 pre-release
I... fell asleep during Skyfall.

I haven't been into these Craig Bonds. Doing a dark n gritty Bond is like doing a dark n gritty Indy flick. Even when it works, it doesn't feel right.

I'm more curious as to where they go next... which I guess is also delayed until after the worldwide quarantine!

You ought to read the first chapter of Goldfinger, where it's just Bond drinking double whiskys to himself after having killed a hitman in Mexico and feeling morose about it. In a lot of ways, Fleming Bond is even gloomier than Craig Bond.

I've been doing a rewatch of Bond in preparation for NTTD. Specifically for the purpose of walking away from it with Skyfall ranked a bit higher than I had it because......... I DO NOT get the love for it.

Skyfall doesn't sell the "hes been doing this for YEARS" angle. Especially since it follows a film that was a direct sequel to his origin.

It seems to me Spectre should have come third. Bring in the Waltz stuff, more gadgets, Bautista etc. THATS the mission that puts him through the ringer.

Few years later Skyfall, he cant do it, hes aging etc

Then bring in NTTD, hes ready to get Blofeld now, hes trained blah blah, but he knkws that it'll be his final showing as badass.

Skyfall just felt like a one-off Bond. Its shot beautifully and the performances are great (somewhat weak villainy though with Bardem).

And the Home Alone ending still doea not sit well.

I still prefer Quantum of Solace over Skyfall. But I want to like Skyfall more.

I JUST DONT KNOW HOW!!!!

I love the first half of Skyfall, but man does it hit a wall in the second half.  It all hinges on how engrossed you are on Bond's personal history.  (I was not)

More specifically, 2:57 in this video is when I noped out of the movie.

I never fell asleep to Skyfall, but I did for Age of Ultron.

Bardem makes Skyfall. He's Heath Ledger Joker, but maybe even... better?

Isn't it more remarkable when you don't fall asleep during something?!

Can we at least get a new trailer? I've seen the current one about 947 times now.

As one should.

Skyfall is great.  Not Casino Royale great, but it's damn great.

Pretty too.

Supposedly we were getting one next week.

I doubt we will now!

If they're delaying it to add more Ana De Armas scenes, relevant to the story or not, it'll be worth it.

The movie is already 163 mins long, no need to add unnecessary add ons.

Skyfall is all that is right with James Bond movies!

I can wait till November. While I was looking forward to this, I was keeping my expectations in check. The movie is carrying over characters from Spectre that I didn't like. I don't hate Madeline and the new Blofeld, I was just underwhelmed by them. My guess is the almost three hour run time will feature what is meant to be character moments but is just Bond being bummed out. At least the action scenes look good.
I've got good news and I've got bad news. The bad news is I've lost my way. The good news is I'm way ahead of schedule!

I'll probably fall asleep between now and November.

I would love it if they took the extra time available to work on the story for Bond 26 and come up with a title so they can end it like the old days.

James Bond will return in “Risico” or whatever.

Nah, they need to wait to see if the movie's a hit!

Then wait four years before writing a first draft, hiring a director, firing the director, writing a second draft, hiring a director...

Don't joke about that, it's too plausible!

I’m not thinking of the next potential Bond until things settle after NTTD. I assume EON is doing the same.

They can't wait too long, Idris is already 47.
