The Raid and Dredd 3D:  A tale of two pointless films:

Since Halloween's right around the corner, you should check out this satirical horror/comedy short that takes a ridiculous approach to genre tropes and cliche's!

Might not be so laissez faire after all.  Let's just say that things are brought to light in the new one that kinda make it possible for all 5 current films (yep, even the TV movies) to co-exist in-continuity with one another.  I just finished watching it.  I need to mentally digest it some more before offering cohesive thoughts, but I loved it and can't wait to read your own thoughts on the film.

Still alive, buddy?

Yeah, I just needed to take a break from message boards for a while after being so infuriated by Looper.  I've been doing an action series lately, here are the key entries if interested!

Definitely!  I thought it was fantastic and I went in with no real strong opinion about Korrine either way.  Very excited for his next film now. Thanks for reading and staying in touch good sir!

It was my first Korrine experience and I definitely plan on giving his other work, past and future, a look.  The showing I caught was packed and I'm pretty sure only two other people actually liked it.........and they happened to be an elderly couple!

I really hope Pines goes nationwide in the coming weeks.

Judging by how large the crowd was when I saw it at 1005am on Friday, it might just have a decent weekend.  Hopefully word of mouth will propel it to an expansion and greater success.  I don't think it's nearly as obtuse as some are making it out to be.  It's a damn fine melodrama that should appeal to a cross section.

I had the distinct honor of interviewing Rob Zombie for a massive article I wrote for RopeofSilicon.com. How massive? So massive it needed to be spread out over 5 days with a day dedicated to each of his 5 feature films! Here's the first entry covering House of 1,000 Corpses!
