The Peter North reference had me laughing. Glad to see this back up, Nick.

This seems to be a common complaint about Mad Men.  Not one that will likely ever be leveled towards GoT, thankfully.

Good read, Nick.  Keep it up.

Great stuff, Nick.  Poor owls.  Does AOL really think America is that bad of a speller?

Read Nick's stuff and wish the doc hadn't told me to lay off the booze.

Not sure if this is a coincidence, but when I clicked owl.com, the background was an owl?

The Tilted Kilt thing is awkward. The waitresses are encouraged to interact with the patrons more than a place like Hooters. You take a lonely, socially maladjusted dude and have a hot waitress pretend to take an interest and play around of pool with him, and you've got a recipe for disaster.

There should just always be a separation between servers and patrons, in any business.

I hate drinking booze while playing golf. First, I suck at golf, so getting smashed doesn't help. Second, where I live it can get to 120 degrees F, adding a dehydrating beverage to the mix doesn't help. Third, I'm now old and cranky and I hate seeing people falling down drunk in public.

Are you in Arizona too? I've been thinking about trying to organize an Arizona meet-up. There seem to be several of us here.

Nope, next store in Northern CA. I'm afraid to go to Arizona, because although I"m White, I do currently have a heavy tan, and might be jailed or shot just because. " id="yui_3_7_3_1_1366254859312_945" rel="http://files.chud.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif">

Understood. I get nervous when I try to grow a mustache.

I know what you mean about acceptance man.  What with the Cancer and the birth of my Daughter I take my fun where i can get it and try not to let the other crap get me down.

Great stuff as always.

My life has changed so much in the past few years. What excites me has shrunken. What I consider vital to survive has shrunken. I can totally see why people accept things and lessen their definition of necessary as they grow older.

Very, very true.
