ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES Pre-Release
#1

I just saw an early cut of the film (running time: 140 minutes).  Due to that sort of running time it obviously has pacing issues, but the humor is exactly the same style as the first and it's just as funny.  There's also an added dose of social commentary as Ron basically creates Fox News.

Even at 140 minutes I'd give it a B+.  Shave it down to 100 and that grade probably grows higher.

Nice. If it's that long and still working well, that's a very good sign.

Have you seen "Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie", Dark Shape? A lot of my favorite stuff (not the Alarm Clock scenes) is in that. Much of it is funnier than the main movie. My favorite bits are Champ's "I love you, Ron Burgundy!" scene, and the gang's epic treck through the wilderness. The climax at the zoo they replaced all that stuff with really didn't add much fun to the theatrical Anchorman.

More fat in the running time for Anchorman 2 will hopefully mean more of those weird moments I love.
