Movies that fit the theme, for holiday viewing.

Pictures of cool costumes.

Spooky stories.

I lived rather close to the famed Resurrection Cemetery, the home of Resurrection Mary.  I've yet to see her, though. <img src=" src="http://files.chud.com/images/smilies/wink.gif" />

Here's few pictures of characters from the prop house I work at, where it's Halloween year round, and yet I'm still not sick of this holiday:

Those are really cool! Also: Jealousy demands that I now shun you for working in such an interesting place, compared to my working environment. Consider yourself shunned.

Lets say that in the spirit of Halloween you want to look for a real monster, here are the best places to look for Bigfoot.

Am I the only one who thinks a Ramones Halloween special would have been amazing?

My favorite bit from Season Of The Witch: Halloween 3.

It's where the bad guy explains the origin of Halloween.

I played audio of this at the beginning of the Halloween episode of my weekly FM college radio show in the early 80's.

I love how when exiting, he turns and says to the guy 'And...happy Halloween.'

like he's saying 'eat shit & die.'

The best trailer, for what is simply the single best Halloween movie EVER made.

As fun as it is, I wouldn't go that far.

Yeah, TRICK 'R TREAT doesn't even come close to HALLOWEEN.

I might have been born yesterday sir, but I stayed up all night!

I always find these shows entertaining. Too bad that the whole thing isn't on youtube.

Zeke the f'n Plumber. Imagine if Mr. Show-era Bob Odenkirk and David Cross directed The Burning. I miss this show. And we'll probably never see it on an official DVD. Sad

Heck yeah. Rolfe's AVGN stick has gotten old but I still enjoy his thoughts on horror movies and cinema.

I have nothing to add except that I love Halloween and the whole month of October.

It may be because I didn't see the film until I was around 15 or so, but I don't have any attachment to Halloween. I see the early framework of the American slasher genre, I hear John Carpenter's awesome theme... Then I just can't stop thinking about the hundred other slasher films that came afterwards that I saw before ever seeing it. With that being said, I need to watch some of the old Italian mystery films that inspired the more Friday the 13th side of the genre.

I think that I like Trick r' Treat more because I have a love of horror anthologies.

Edit: Hell, I like Halloween 3: Season of the Witch more.

He did a great job with the Godzilla series.

If you grew up in the 80s and 90s, Dinosaur Dracula is another good one this time of year. Many of his articles have had a "Holy shit, I forgot all about that!" effect on me.

Meh.  I'd say Halloween 3 is close to just as good.  Halloween is a great movie and all, and I'm not from the overrated crowd, but it's not some untouchable classic to me.

if you guys can get your hands on the full Bravo 100 scariest movies list I recommend watching the entire thing.  There's tons of wonderful interviews and moments from some genuinely great film people in it.  Kind of a must see.

Months ago I was thinking of doing a/several paintings that would consist of several scream-queen-screams heads/shoulder in a collage /crowd shot, all looking in the same direction, like they're in a group and are reacting to something  horrible off-screen. So, as I watched older movies and there was such a reaction, I grabbed the frame, and keep them here for future reference.  thot I'd share some with you if it doesn't slow the page forming. I'll keep the thumbnail small but en-biggable by clicking it
