It's HALLOWEEN !
Me and some friends went as Men in Black, which would have put us in high school. Thought that would be my last year, but my brother wanted me to go with him the next. Cobbled together a hasty costume last minute from some of our decorations and other assorted things. Lacrosse pads on my head to make shoulders, a black sheet over it to make a cloak, a rubber skull on a stick to be the head, black thread tied to it so I could make it talk, a fake arm we had so I had one free to do so. Sort of a hunchback grim reaper. Wish I had a picture.

Our charity pumpkin patch was a great success this year. We raised $23,000 to donate to our regional cancer centre! That almost doubled our $12,000 total from last year.

It was a lot of work both physically and mentally. Now it’s time to rest.

That’s great, Chaz. Love it.

Ah, Yeungling. It can never get skunked, because it's already born skunked.

This is the 3rd season my wife and I have been running our pumpkin patch market to raise money for our regional Cancer centre.

If I'm not at work this is my second job which consists of picking the pumpkins from our field myself, cutting corn down and tying it into bunches, and throwing straw bales out of a barn loft.  This year we have had built a small army of volunteers to help us and it has been an immense relief because word of mouth has spread far enough that people are coming are coming to our humble market from the bigger cities in the area.

Every single cent from the proceeds gets donated and I'm super proud to say we passed our record from last year and we have raised $24,500 so far with two more weeks to go.

I thought I would share some pictures again.

This was our first harvest of the year (you can put pumpkins in a watermelon bin):

A friend of ours grew these mums for us to include in packages.  This is a small amount of them I stored in our backyard so I could water them:

Friends helping us pick pumpkins to send to a local business that ordered 850 to give their employees (I'm driving the tractor):

It truly is.

It scratches a huge nostalgic itch of what I remember most about Halloween.

Hopefully I can help create some autumnal memories for a few kids.

And it's for a very worthy cause.

850 more pumpkins out of the patch today purchased by a generous local business!

All of these are destined to be Jack O' Lanterns.

A great day.

We've wrapped up the pumpkin patch. We were on the fence earlier in the year about whether we were going to do it or not just based on all the restrictions and stuff.

We are glad we made the decision to open up again this year because we raised a total of $33,383 for the season! That's just $300 shy of raising $10,000 more than last year.

What a tremendous and positive experience to have.

Thanks, Belloq.

It is a great number, for sure. It was also great to meet more people this year, and see all of the support. It really is something. It is inspiring.

I had intended to carve about five pumpkins today, but discovered that only two were still firm enough!  Not my finest work, but oh well.  Still had fun doing it!

Got the candy all bagged up for the neighborhood kiddies. Will probably have a lot of left overs, but we’ll see. Trick or treating is during a very planned out four to five. Happy Halloween!
