Yeah that was a solid premiere.

I thought their version of the Phantom Zone was really interesting. Kind of surprised how easily Seg got out of it though.

Brainiac continues to be one of the best live-action depictions of a DC villain. No way is he defeated that easily.

The headshot caught me off guard and I laughed hard at "shithead detected."

Lobo being Lobo with his gear. I loved that bit.

Syfy must really like the character. There are already plans to give him a spin-off show.

Between Lobo and Seg-El being taken over by Brainiac I'm loving this season so far. I can see why they're spinning off Lobo into his own show now. He was great in this episode.

Seagull.

I liked Lobo, not sure if he could carry a series on his own.  Probably needs a good ensemble, akin to me liking Snart/Captain Cold but not seeing or wanting him doing a solo series.  What's the contractual mess between doing DC CW/SyFy crossovers like?

Bump.

This has been quite the good season so far. Anyone else watching this?

Another solid episode this week. So many great moments. Zod "bonding" with Doomsday. The naming of Jor-El. THAT ENDING. Seriously, every time I think, "Hey, maybe Brainiac isn't so bad," this show proves me so very wrong.

Oh, and Wallis Day (Nyssa) is fucking gorgeous.

Agreed on all points. For a super advanced alien A.I. Brainiac really is quite the fucking dick in this show.

He almost seemed sad when Seg rejected his offer to explore the universe together. It seems like he grew to respect him, which makes his final action even more fucked up.

This week's episode was an interesting take on the Superman story, "For the Man Who Has Everything." Zod really is the shittiest son.

Next week looks insane.

That kneeling scene. Holy shit.

Last week's episode featured a better Doomsday rampage than the one we got in BvS. Surprisingly gory too. This week's finale set up a lot of interesting plotlines for season 3 (Hawk people, possibly Darkseid). C'mon Syfy, please renew this.

As well as the potential Lobo Spinoff.

However, I did read that they're going to try and shop it somewhere else. Maybe that new HBO streaming service.

I still have 3 episodes left for this season. Don't know how the season ends yet, but I was enjoying where they were going so I was hoping for a S3.

The SYFY channel ALWAYS cancels it's shows in the 2nd or 3rd season. I've given up on that channel.

Unless it's something they're licensing from Canada's SPACE channel.

Anything where there's even a penny of their own money in is on the chopping block as soon as it's greenlit.

Season 3's storyline would've been inspired by Red Son:

I'm still crossing my fingers that DC Universe or HBO Max picks it up.

That would have been awesome. The series finale was great.

Adam Strange with his jetpack was my favorite moment out of a fun episode. Alas.

Seems to me that despite pretty bad ratings, fans and critics seemed to think it was still pretty good. I have 3 episodes left for this season, so I'm obviously going to finish it, especially since I've heard mostly good things. I have a funny feeling, that someone is going to pick it up.
