Political YouTube catch-all

There's a whole ton of political stuff on youtube, some of it good, a lot of it bad! The best ones can explore complicated issues in a concise and interesting way, and the bad ones can still be fun to pick apart. Also they're good argument fodder. So I thought it might be nice to have a place where we can post these kind of vids without having to find a related thread for them.

In practice this will probably just be me posting Contrapoints videos, and on that note:

Contrapoints is a gender-bending youtuber who does theatrical takes on the hot topics of the moment with excellent art-house aesthetics. The videos are always well thought out and I agree with them probably 80% of the time, which isn't bad, and the rest of the time I at least enjoy the delivery. This one is pretty good, and goes by a lot quicker than you might expect from 23 minutes of someone talking at you.

My questions here would be over things I'm just not sure about in general, like to what extent the 'alt-right' is really a major political force vs a niche movement that gets magnified for sensationalist reasons, and as a way of discrediting fairly bog-standard conservative stances by association. This is touched on in the video a little, but there are conservative values that people can hold for non-white supremacist reasons, and trying to declare them off limits on the basis that it's a slippery slope to fascism leans right into perceptions of the left as paranoid and obsessed with suppressing opposing opinions.

What do you think, gentle forum posters?

Watching the marshaling of the intellectual left on youtube has been rather good of late. They've got a bit of an uphill battle but they seem to be having some impact. People like Contrapoints and hbomberguy are some of the more creative ones. In that group is also Shaun, the dead pan snarker of many interests who has rededicated himself to doing longer critical videos on single matters of late. As such this one is a quite thorough examination of the events of the Charlottesville Unite the Right rally combining multiple live streams from attendees. It's long but a fascinating insight most media stop short of giving.

I don't think video embedding works anymore so here's a link
I read the phrase "political YouTube" and immediately ran screaming from the room, so I'm afraid I won't be joining this discussion.
Yeah, I guess. The racism thread didn't seem quite right (yuk yuk) for this one.
