It will never happen on the US version, but Snatcher.

True Story; My dad was willing to buy me one console, and let me choose either Sega Genesis or TurboGrafx-16. I kinda just did a quick mental coinflip and blurted out "GENETHITH!". Thank God, cause the TG16 didn't last very long, did it?

Bonk always seemed kinda fun though. WAITADAMMINUTE, why isn't Bonk's Adventure part of this? Mascot platformers should always be first priority in retro re-releases. Might as well sell mini Genesis without Sonic.
Git' in under mah belly!

I went on YouTube a few weeks ago on a whim to watch someone speedrun through "Bonk." I think I know why that console quickly became extinct.

Bonk is probably the best non-Mario Mario, but that's not saying a lot.

Aw come on, it died a quick death in the US (the approach was definitely too Japanese) but it's not like we're talking about the Jaguar, it still has a cult following in Europe and Japan.

Bonk is probably a little rough but its sequels are much better, Bomber Man was born on the machine, lots of great shoot'em ups, arcade conversions (for the time) and JRPGs (mostly on CD-ROM, though, I don't expect them to be translated but who knows). Hudson Soft was a great developer and designed the console in collaboration with Nec, they are now a part of Konami, which explains why the latter is releasing the Mini version. I'm definitely in, unless the line-up is really disappointing.

Kanye was going to name an album after this machine at one stage.

If "non-Mario Mario" means "primarily a platform game with a bunch of whimsy," then Psychonauts is the best "non-Mario Mario."

Rondo of Blood would have made this an instant purchase for me if it hadn't already been re-released.  I'm surprised there's no Splatterhouse (loved that game).

Alien Crush is the pinball game I mentioned earlier in this thread as a "must include."  Loved that game.  The sequel, Devil's Crush, I didn't find quite as addictive, but it's also good.

The lack of Blazing Lasers hurts my heart.

I'm tentative at the moment.  They need to announce more games.

To think there's a segment of the population for whom Chō Aniki is a treasured childhood memory that they want to relive for nostalgia's sake.

Think that's actually the sequel now that I look at the title, which isn't there.
