The Bad, Difficult, Complicated, and "Problematic" Art Thread
Earlier seasons of Game of Thrones leaned so hard into full frontal female nudity without having the balls (awesome pun intended) to be equal opportunity about it. I'm about as boringly straight as it gets and get next to nothing personally from seeing a dude with his rig out, but I was trying (too hard perhaps) to pretend this show was actually "adult" instead of just rated "adult" and that juvenile treatment of nudity stymied such efforts. When Ian McShane dared to shoot his "Tits and dragons" slur across the show's bow I couldn't even be mad at him.

If American broadcast standards - even on cable - limit the amount of frank and beans that can be shown then so be it, as a show runner you have your hands tied there, but then, if you give half a shit about audience immersion, you don't go and draw attention to those limits by going ham on ladyfrontage!

Ironically, I feel out of love with GoT in later seasons, when the show became somewhat less childish about the nudity ratio, so maybe one of my multitudes is that deep down I'm still just a filthy perv at heart.
There are no limitations to the amount of dick that you can show on cable television here in the states. You can't do outright porn, but you can get close.

I'm not talking about the Starz shows, but this little gem:
home taping is killing music

For everyone else that's not me, Hunter, neil, or any other NYC-adjacent dorkuses: Keep in mind that this is less than 18 months after Amadou Diallo was killed, smack in the middle of the trial around the cops sodomizing Abner Louima, and a good 14 months BEFORE Rudy becomes "America's Mayor" on 9/11.

Oof.  I'd forgotten all about Diallo.  Jesus.
If you're happy, you're not paying attention.
