In the event that anyone has trouble downloading from ComingSoon.net, the official site has the newest trailer in all 3 sizes:

Man, was that a kick-ass trailer!

But, that's not Reeves in that last flying shot either. I slowed down and looked at it!

Good to see Neo and Trinity doing it the old fashioned way. None of that virtual shit for them.

Just saw the trailer on ET.

PERFECTION.

For those of you still on Quicktime 5, you may need to upgrade to QT 6. With 5 I had video, but no sound. Upgraded to 6 and there is now blissful sound.

Just an FYI.

Oh yeah, the new trailer rocks the house...

Moss as Trinity continues to do NOTHING for me.

All else looks swank, though.

I have to say, and this obviously is not saying anything definitive about the finished products, but the X-MEN trailer kicked it's ass. In terms of impact, in terms of spectacle, in just making me want to see the film right this fucking second. Heck, the Superbowl trailer had more impact on me.

Highlight ended up being that one shot glimpse of the goddess, Ms. Bellucci. That should tell you something. wink

BTW, For all you doubters, that story treatment I posted some months back, is going to be vindicated.

Wait, where's the discussion on how lame some of the dialogue is?

Oh, right... wrong franchise.

HOTTT. Now, if I could just turn off my brain when I go to watch it, I'll be a-ok.

How the hell do you guys skip frames in Quicktime? At any rate, here is a shot from the last fly-by, best I could get.

Everytime I hear someone say something negative about this I remember the scene in Malcolm X where Denzel knocks the guy to the ground and says something akin to "as long as you fucking live you will never dissrespect my mother again!" I had to make peace with the fact that the entire world doesn't love the Matrix awhile ago, but I will never understand the hate.

Not really. I'm still hoping for the best. Just telling it like I see it.

Al Gore?

This has nothing to do with any Matrix hate, but everything to do with the its dialogue (and delivery of) being just as cheesy as another notable sci-fi franchise. Yet it goes unspoken in spite of the fact that The Matrix films take themselves more seriously than said campy, pulpy sci-fi franchise.

Personally, this amuses the hell out of me.

That said, I still anticipate these next 2 Matrix films and think they'll be better than the first.

I will not turn this into an anti-prequel thread, but the diologue in the Matrix is fucking Shakespeare when compared to any line in the prequels.

#65
Right. Because the Morpheus dialogue is SO much better. Go ahead and keep proving my point.

Or "But I wanted to go to Toshi Station to pick up some power converters"...or something.

Anyway, that trailer was crotch-wettingly excellent.

Carl, desert it.

The Matrix has zip to do with the prequels, and people aren't getting excited because of the lines in this trailer.

The point is, we could go on and on but no one is going to change their opinion. So who cares? Now I am going to watch this trailer for the 50th time.
