The Asian Films Thread (Beware: Long-ass thread)
I've never seen CASTAWAY, though I've only heard/read great things (and from mostly non-Korean film reviewers). Pretty sweet that a small film that bombed at home received so much love & praise abroad.

Pretty kickass trailer for BELIEVER, the unofficial Korean remake of Johnnie To's DRUG WAR:

From Lee Hae-Yong, the hard-boiled crime noir maestro behind LIKE A VIRGIN. But still, seriously this film looks like the goods. Could be the one that shoots solid character actor Cho Jin-Woong (HANDMAIDEN, NAMELESS GANGSTER, etc.) into film stardom. Also stars Ryu Jun-yeol (the doomed college student from A TAXI DRIVER) as I assume the Louis Koo character.
The most important thing in life is broads. Broads!
