Just kidding. It just seemed too applicable to at least her acting ability.

Oh, come on. You know that I specified exactly on what criteria the film was unique in my eyes. If you ignore that premise (as you've done above), then it's pointless for you to harp on my remaining words. If you want to respond to me, then respond to my points; don't just quote me out of context to set up a pithy retort. If you do that, you may as well just quote the single word "movie" and then attack Comic-Book-Guy-style with something like, "You call that a movie? I thought they were running a roll of used toilet paper through the projector."

In any case, let me respond to your idea. You can abstract until you find commonalities between any two films. That doesn't mean they are the same.

Hellboy - Noisy, terribly concerned with visuals, and based on a comic book.
Catwoman - Noisy, terribly concerned with visuals, and based on a comic book.

Can you tell the difference between those 2 movies? I hope you can like any self-respecting movie geek, but there are some who can't. It's just the same old shit to them. They lack the taste to distinguish them. Well, maybe you lack the fine taste (and by "fine" I just mean sensitivity, not superior/high class) in action filmmaking to distinguish between RE:Apoc and other action trash... Or maybe you do, but u don't agree with my points. If that's the case, then show me the basic courtesy of saying that instead of just going to the cheap comment.

Oh, you're right -- substance makes a film bloated, just like "Van Helsing" and "Bad Boys 2." Man, I haven't been challenged, either intellectually or spiritually, like I was when watching those two films.

I don't see how I could possibly be right about this since I was but reminding someone about another person's quote & context of the comment he was responding to. But if you say so...I'll be right.

I went to see this last night, and I came out pretty satisfied. I mean, I knew what to expect and I got everything I came for.

a) Milla Jovovich

b) Zombies and cheap CGI monsters (the CGI gave me a few chuckles)

c) Violent action sequences with lots of guns and explosions

d) Loud music

e) Cheesy bad acting

f) A confused and almost non-existent plot that only helped add to the cheese factor

g) Gore (although I was wishing for a lot more)

All in all it was a fun stupid action movie, I liked it a hell of a lot better than the first one and I wouldn't mind seeing the third when it comes out.

^Agreed^. Although I think I liked the first one more. I didn't care for the cemetery "uprising" scene. I still prefer the Romeroesque reanimation of the RECENTLY DECEASED thing. As opposed to the much less believable Return-of-the-living-dead type ANYTHING EVAR DECEASED reanimation thing.

Also, I thought they did too much of that 'close-up-blurred-fast-action-can'treallytellwho'sdoingwhat' photography. That makes me dizzy a bit.

I'll see the 3rd one.
