What a lineup!

I've changed my mind more than once, but in the end, I'm going to go with ratty for having my favorite first 3 picks, scoring GONE WITH THE WIND at 4, and closing with an underlooked gem in THE OLD DARK HOUSE.

Once again, gotta give it to Richard for Wizard of Oz.

All three lists are great, though.

Richard. His list just has everything I love from that era, except for maybe a solid noir. Although I guess they didn't really kick into gear until the 40s.

All are great. I have to go with Ratty for ROBIN HOOD and BRINGING UP BABY, two perfect films.

Ratty

Just to break the tie, I vote Ratty.

People love when Dickson goes full Dickson, but I find it annoying.

See, did you have to add that second comment in there?  What did that add to the discussion other than providing a slam of Richard?  All you needed to do was vote for Ratty and walk away, no harm and no foul.  Unbelievable.

There's plenty to like about each list. Richard has my preferred 1939 Technicolor spectacular, one of the Universal monsters, and the Marxes. Hammerhead has Lubitsch, Sternberg, and, of course, KONG. Ratty has two offbeat horror classics, a screwball great, and what remains the best telling of the Robin Hood story.

For overall variety and quality, I vote Ratty.

Finding it hard to pick between Ratty and Hammerhead, but I guess I'm going with Ratty.
